another way to look at trigger locks ….
Here’s another way to look at trigger locks. When automobiles were first
introduced, they had no ignition lock. Eventually, theft became a problem
so manufacturers put a locking ignition switch on all vehicles so only the
owners could start them. This was suffecient until crooks found out how
to hot-wire around the key. Then the manufacturers made locking steering
column mechanisms so only the owners could start them. Has THAT stopped
auto theft? Has it prevented deaths from stolen autos?
How will trigger locks serve any better?
