Festival in Norco, California and your help needed!
I have recently become active both on this discussion board and in the California Second Amendment Sisters.
I know that this is a WAGC forum board, but I’m hoping that someone out there that might be reading this would be interested in making a really big difference in how the CA SAS gets its start in the world!
The CA-SAS has an unprecedented opportunity to get our message out to like-minded women and men at the family-oriented shooting festival this weekend at Raahauge’s Ranch in Norco, California.
The weekend has all kinds of hand-on shooting activities as well as safety instruction. It’s supposed to be pretty hot out, but the CA SAS have (barely) enough people who’ve agreed to sit in the booth and pass out information and collect petitions and membership applications on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The problem is that we don’t have a budget or petty cash yet (we’re still despearately trying to get organized) and so we’re short the funds we need to actually reserve the booth… which is about $200.
If anyone reading this message would like to help us out, please contact the California State SAS Coordinators Jennifer and Joe at [email protected] — if we can get just ten people who can send us $20…
Anyway, if anyone is interested in more information about the festival, give Raahauge’s a call. Here’s their blurb:
“NORCO — The Raahauge’s Shooting Sports Fair 2000 will return to Mike Raahauge Shooting Sports June 2-4. The event is one of the only hands-on gun shows in the nation where participants can shoot most of the firearms on display. The hands-on show will feature virtually all of the major firearms makers in this country — Ruger, Remington, Winchester, Browning, Marlin, Savage, Mossberg, Beretta, Weatherby, Taurus, and others — where those who attend the show can shoot the newest hunting, target shooting and self-defense guns on the market. In addition, there are a whole series of seminars each of the three days of the show on gun safety, hunting, dog training, trick shooting, and general shooting techniques. Admission is $12 for adults, and $2-off coupons are available at all Turner’s Outdoorsman locations. All kids 14 and under are free. For more information, call Raahauge’s at (909) 735-7981 or (909)735-2361.”
Thank you so much for reading this far… and my humble apologies for imposing on this awesome WAGC forum!
