Now THAT is very curious to me. To whom would he have to “turn it in
as a yes?” Who is tabulating the answers? What about your husband’s
right to confidentiality? If the questionaires are part of some
research project, did your husband sign an informed consent to
participate in the research? (Even research by questionaire has to
be preceded by an informed consent release form…all sorts of
important rules are broken if that is left out…rules that effect a
doctor loosing funding for his research.)
That is a VERY good point we’ve stumbled onto here, Nancy.
EVERYBODY LISTEN UP: If you or your family are asked to fill out
such questionaires, ask the doctor what will be done with the
information.

yeah. I’m hatching a devious plot that I’ll communicate to you off
list.
BUT TO EVERYONE ON THE LIST: YOU ARE INVITED TO GIVE ME THE NAME
ADDRESS AND EMAIL OR FAX NUMBER OF ANY PHYSICIAN THAT ASKS YOU OR
YOUR FAMILY OR FRIENDS ABOUT YOUR FIREARMS POSSESSION. At the time
that you communicate that info to me, you may tell me if you would
like me to simply a)tabulate my results, b)add the name to a database
I am building, c)communicate with the doctor directly either
mentioning your name or keeping you anonymous.
LET’S DO THIS FOLKS…THIS COULD REALLY BLOSSOM INTO A USEFUL
EXERCISE.
