CRICM (From 2AMPD)
Close Range Interpersonal Crisis Management
Much has been discussed (and no doubt some ideas have
disgusted many) about personal security in the various
media. Bleeding-heart liberals and the rabbit people say one
should not resist an attacker and that one should call the
“authorities” for help. Such drivel must cause our founding
fathers to spin in their graves! Anyone who has ever had the
occasion to call “the authorities” knows that their response
time can vary from many minutes to hours. Not only that, but
they are under no legal obligation to protect you. When it’s
yourself, your lilly pad or the lives of others living in
your pond that is in danger you need immediate “relief.”
The best article I’ve ever seen on this subject was written
by Jeff Cooper many years ago in the 1975 Guns & Ammo
Annual. It is reprinted below.
Read it and heed it!
