Some good Legal References (from Another List)

During a bit of off-list chitchat, one of our list colleagues mentioned that
it is difficult for the average citizen to reference and review case law.
Not so, say I, and offer some of the sources that I use:

There are also a number of Colorado legal sites on the web, including a
searchable database of the entire suite of statutes. This seems to be true
of most other states as well. Certainly you should be able to find websites
for your state court system, the state legislature, bills up for debate and
potential passage, and so on.

These sources are a lot better than some of the inaccurate and often
hysterical notes that get passed around the internet.
