I saw the infomercial on ABC last night and wasn’t very happy with it. I recommend that anyone who is unhappy with the biased “coverage” should call (or preferably write) their LOCAL station. Each local station is required by law to report all complaints to the FCC within 90 days of receipt.

Now that THAT’s out of the way, does anyone have the backup to that 604 supposed federal prosecutions of gun purchasers under Brady? Frankly, I won’t believe it until I see something more convincing than a statement from a man who doesn’t even qualify anymore as a “reader of the news.”

I find it interesting that in the past several years that HCI et al have been unable to bring this data to public attention. Bill Clinton was unable to use it in his attacks on La Pierre. Why? Was the information unavailable? I’ve met La Pierre and if I read his expression right last night, it was one of surprise and shock.

If this “information” is indeed TRUE, I believe he was not aware of it. His was not the expression of a liar that had been caught. Typically, with liars you get that flash of recognition when you hit them with the truth. I did not see this. Even the good liars put on a good “oh poor persecuted little me” act. He didn’t do that either. Jennings really had him floored. So it makes me wonder, why was this information not used by someone earlier?

Was it just sitting there, waiting for some reporter of true genious to ask just the right question (four weeks before the election, and two days prior to the Presidential debates)? How much ya wanta bet Gore’s gonna use this to move in for the kill in the debates Wednesday? And more importantly, will Bush stand by the 2nd, or will he turn quisling?
