Well so much for no violence in private schools, darn shame gun control laws didn’t stop this violence…… darn shame the nun didn’t have a self defense gun…….

Teen Monk Arrested In Nun’s Stabbing Death
Murder Shakes Small Miami Private School
MIAMI, 12:44 p.m. EST March 26, 2001 — Police arrested a 19-year-old monk Monday morning after the body of a nun was found on the campus of a tight-knit private Catholic school in Southwest Miami.

Investigators aren’t releasing many details, but they did say that Mykhaylo Kofel, of the Ukraine, is under arrest.

Kofel lived on the grounds of the Holy Cross Academy on Sunset Drive, where the nun’s naked body was found Sunday, according to detectives. Investigators said that the woman was stabbed to death.

Police said that two women who work at the academy live in the home (pictured, right) where the body was found — but they have not said if the dead woman was one of the residents.

The name of the victim has not been released, pending notification of her family.
