Anti-Gun Geraldo packs heat in Afghanistan
Geraldo Rivera is a Clinton sychopnant who thinks ordinary people cannot be trusted to carry firearms for self-defense. When Afghanistan became a hot spot Geraldo quit his gig as an anchor for MSNBC and signed on as a foreign correspondent for the Fox News Network. Although he has two bodyguards who have five guns between them, Rivera also admits to going about armed. Speaking on the Fox News Channel last week he stated, “if they’re going to get us, it’s going to be in a gun fight.” (Too bad ordinary Americans can’t say the same thing about muggers and rapists.)
Rivera’s decision to bear arms in the middle of a war zone where eight journalists have already been killed is controversial since, if some reporters are known to be armed, all of them may be perceived as combantants.
The decision to carry a gun in a dangerous situation (which he did not have to get into) highlights the hypocrasy of statist liberals like Rivera. Carrying a gun for self-defense is okay for them, but not for Joe Sixpack.
