(CNSNews.com) – Hollywood liberals, deeply offended by the presence of gun-carrying FBI agents at the end of the movie “ET,” are – presto, changeo – turning the agents’ guns into walkie-talkies instead. The New York Post’s Page Six gossip column reported on Wednesday that Steven Spielberg, with the help of computer technology, has agreed to a request by actress Drew Barrymore to get rid of the guns, which FBI agents point at the spaceship in the final scene. Spielberg plans to re-release “ET” in late March, according to Page Six, which says the changes will cost about $100,000. Barrymore – who is Spielberg’s godchild – is said to be “fanatically opposed to all forms of weapons.”

I guess Drew and Spielberg don’t believe in armed guards either; somehow I don’t think they’re as willing to make those guns disappear.
