Reward offered in stabbing death of woman

Douglasville police are establishing a reward fund in the Oct. 31 stabbing death of a Lithia Springs woman.
Lt. Randy Rider said the police and sheriff’s departments have established a $1,000 reward fund and have applied for an additional $2,000 from the governor’s office.

Tina Mayberry, 38, was stabbed to death in the parking lot of Gipson’s Restaurant and Lounge in the Forrest Mart Shopping Center around midnight after attending a Halloween party at the restaurant.

“We’re trying to get contributions from as many sources as we can,” said Rider. “We don’t have much of a lead in the case and we believe that somebody in the parking lot saw something, but it may not have registered with them.”
