NE: Woman fires gun to summon help
A disabled Omaha woman shot holes in her walls Saturday afternoon to
alert neighbors that her apartment was on fire. … “She did not have
a phone, so she fired two or three shots out the window to call for
help,” said Sgt. Cathy Cook of the Omaha Police Department. “I guess
she felt she didn’t have any other options.”
