THE NAACP CHOICE: BE A RACIST OR BE A MURDERER – PICK ONE

It looks like the fecal matter may hit the fan any day now. Just got a call from a Houston, TX radio station to talk about our policy of not selling guns to African-Americans in the wake of the NAACP law suit alleging gun manufacturers, distributors and dealers flood their streets with guns and are therefore responsible for the high crime and murder rates in black communities. I am perfectly willing to resume sales of guns to African-Americans as soon as the NAACP asks me too. So far, they have not asked so I guess they are cool with it…for now.

However the current situation is this:

If I sell guns to blacks, I face a law suit.
If I don’t sell guns to blacks, I face a law suit

Further:

If I sell guns to blacks I’m a murderer.
If I don’t sell guns to blacks, I’m a racist.

Frankly I am hoping the NAACP sees me as a businessman out to do the socially responsible thing and that I am given some type of good citizenship recognition from them. But I hardly expect that as my suspicion is that the NAACP wants it both ways. No matter what I do, I lose. Well, if the choice is between being a murderer or a racist I guess my choice is clear. It’s fair to say this all very confusing.

I’ll share some comments from those who responded to my policy.

I’m an African-American, and an NRA member. I also live in Washington DC. The most anti-gun jurisdiction in the world. Every day I see the big lie as it relates to crime and guns. Blacks are gradually beginning to understand that the NAACP is not the organization that it used to be and claims to be. It’s loyalty is now with whom ever it gets it’s money and support from. The NAACP doesn’t care if you stop selling guns to Black people. It’s contention is that the gun industry supplies guns to the American society that become illegal guns. Therefore, it is responsible for crimes related to guns. Unfortunately there are more than enough naive people who believe this lie.

John – I heard your interview this AM with Jon Matthews on KSEV in Houston. What a great story. It put a smile on my face. I wish you the best of luck in sticking it back in the faces of the liberal elite. It’s clearly not a case of you choosing to be a “racist” or “murderer” but a case of them having to choose which they’d rather be! Never in their wildest dreams did the NAALCP (L=liberal) think that someone would throw their own argument right back at them. Maybe this will finally show them the folly of their ways. Go get ‘em!

We’ll see where this leads. I have never felt more at risk in the sense that I know the attack will be to paint me as racist and to try to ignore my exposure of the hypocrisy of the NAACP. I sure wish a few other gun dealers would join me (hint, hint), but I suspect I’m all alone on this one. And frankly if I go down, it’s small potatoes. If we lost 100 gun dealers over this it would be a catastrophe.
