Here’s an Excite News quote I think is intersting:

“A federal judge recently ruled that Grokster and Morpheus, two
popular file-trading programs, could be used for both legal and
illegal purposes – like a photocopy machine – and since the companies
cannot control what people do with their software, they are not
liable for copyright infringement. (New York Times)”

Hmm… I immediately see parallels with the current gun industry law
suit environment. Are not guns used for both legal and illegal
purposes? Since Colt and S&W cannot control what people do with
their hardware…

Anyone following the industry suit thread wish to comment?
