Speech Class
I am enrolled in a speech class at our local community college. Our final exam speech must be on something that we are familiar with and feel very strongly about. I have decided to do my speech on women owning and carrying guns for safety. My state is currently debating about legislature allowing citizens to carry a concealed weapon. I would like to inform them that they do not need to pass this law. I alrealy HAVE that right. I was born with it, as were they. Your website has been very helpful in putting together my speech. We all need to stand as one. If we allow them to dismember one or two amendment rights, then what comes next year? What freedom will be stolen from us the year after that? The government will never stop. Our second amendment right does not suit the objectives of some politicians today. Tomorrow, maybe it will be the first amendment that comes under fire. Our freedom will not die a bloody battle of defense, but of neglect and in silence is we do not protect it. Thank you for your helpful dedication in preserving our rights. I am a middle aged woman, a mother, a homemaker, a student and an employee. I don’t even speed. I will own and carry my firearm, as does the rapist down the road, the burglar coming thru the window, the holdup man at the bank.
