Subject: Help stop injustice against california gun owners

As you may know, we in the state of California are currently under siege by forces opposed to the right of law abiding citizens to keep and bear arms.

Most dangerous of the current attacks on our rights is senate bill sb-23. This is the law requiring owners of all semi-automatic weapons classified as “assault weapons” to register their guns or face fines and felony convictions. It also outlaws the sale, loaning or trade of high capacity magazines. Those choosing to comply with these new laws face future confiscation of their weapons as has previously occurred in the case of those owning registered SKS sporting rifles using detachable magazines.

The people of our state will have a chance to speak out against this law once again. On February 18, 2000 at 8:00 a.m. a meeting will be held at the Department of Justice 4949 Broadway, Sacramento, California, and once again on February 28, 2000 at 8:00 a.m. at the Department of Justice 300 South Spring Street, Los Angeles. These meetings are for considering any comments, objections, or recommendations regarding the implementation of SB-23. As fellow freedom loving Americans and supporters of the constitution I ask you to help me spread the word about these meetings and to if possible submit written comments to Debbie Coffin, Analyst for the Dept. of Justice, Firearms Division at P.O. Box 820200 Sacramento, CA 94203-0200. I am notifying every business owner, firearm owner, and citizen I can get to listen to me. Once again I implore you to help me spread the word. and to get involved in stopping this injustice being perpetrated on the citizens of California.
