THE MOST COMMON WEAPON INVOLVED IN FAMILY VIOLENCE CASES WAS PHYSICAL FORCE THROUGHT THE USE OF **HANDS, FEET AND FISTS** (STRONG MEN) WHICH ACCOUNT FOR 77% OF THE INCIDENTS.

The Texas Family Violence law considers the use of threats and intimidation to be serious enuff to report, thus 10% of the reports were listed as using no weapons.

Knives or other cutting instruments ———– 4%
Blunt Objects ——————————— 3%
FIREARMS ————————————– *1%*
Other(vehicles, poison, explosives, fire, drugs, misc)- 5%

for those who think strong men are not in the “armed” catagory…..
