.40 S&W -vs- .357 SIG
Off the subject of politics and the 2A for a moment: I have recently bought a SIG 229 in .357 SIG and just the other day a .40 caliber barrel for it. I don’t have a lot of background on these two rounds, although I carried a .40 S&W Model 4006 Smith & Wesson for a while. Which round has the most advantages for defense? I like both a lot and I’m not sure…
For years the number one stopping cop round was the Remington .357 125 grain HP….the .357 SIG is nearly identical on paper…the .40 has all this in a 130 grain load but also has the 180 grain loads and it’s cheaper….I can deal with either one but I want to hear other opinions.
The bottom line is that I use the same mags, have the same capacity it’s just a question to me what round performs better!
