CA Court Upholds Decision to Dismiss Suit Against Gun Makers
An appellate court dismissed a lawsuit filed by several major cities and
counties in CA. The lawsuit accused gun manufacturers of marketing and
distributing their products in a manner “that facilitates the weapon to be
used in violent crimes.” The courts decided that there was not a sufficient
amount of evidence to “establish a connection between the maker’s business
practices and the acquisition of firearms by criminals.” Associated Press,
