Current gun law is asinine

Re: Liberals’ Policy Change Linked To Gun Survey, Nov. 16.

So, the Liberal’s new initiative is to introduce mandatory sentences for
gun crimes. But the question must be asked: Why do gun crimes not
already carry mandatory sentences? Under what possible exceptions could
someone who has committed a crime with a firearm not go to jail?

The fact that someone can commit a crime with a gun and not go to jail
is simply asinine.
