CONCEALED WEAPONS

Law: Good Bad and Ugly, Utah Gun Law II: Pancho’s Wisdom, Utah Night Hunting
and Spotlighting Manual, NRA Certified Safety Instructor, State Certified
Concealed Carry Instructor, International Defensive Pistol Association
(IDPA) Master.

II. EACH COURSE INCLUDES 3-4 HOURS OF DYNAMIC POWERPOINTC
INSTRUCTION, AND INTENSIVE TRAINING ON THE SHOOTING RANGE!!!

A. THE LAW OF SELF DEFENSE
1. Self Defense – Use of Deadly Force
2. Home Defense
3. Liability and Insurance Issues

B. THE LAW OF CONCEALED WEAPONS
1. Where You Can and Cannot Take a Concealed Weapon
2. Reasons for Denial, Revocation or Suspension
3. Assistance in Filing out State Application

C. GUN SAFETY
1. Pistols and revolvers
2. Shooting safety
3. Safe storage (for families with children)

D. SHOOTING INSTRUCTION AT FIRING RANGE
1. This is NOT your typical CCW exercise in shooting
“paper.” We teach and you practice the VERY SKILLS you need for concealed
carry i.e. drawing quickly from a concealed holster (we put you on a
shooting timer to help you experience an adrenaline rush!), shooting while
moving, shooting from cover, tactics for engaging multiple assailants etc.
2. Large selection of guns available to help students
pick a handgun suitable for their needs ($5.00/day rental, ammunition
available).

III. NEXT SCHEDULED COURSE (By Appointment)
A. Minimum 6 students required on either a weeknight (6pm-10pm,
range time following weeknight evening or on a Sat or by appt; or Sat class,
8am-12noon, range time after lunch or by appt.)
B. AT: 1469 No. 200 W. Centerville, Utah 84014
C. For reserved seating, class times and questions call
1(800)530-0222.

IV. TUITION AND COSTS
A. Tuition $60 ($10 off tuition for every person you bring who
pays full tuition!)
1. Disclaimer: This tuition is for my teaching time
only and does not guarantee that you will qualify for a concealed weapons
permit. If I sincerely believe you are not capable of handling a handgun
safely, I reserve the right to refuse to certify anyone (However, if I
believe you have the capability to shoot safely, but simply lack the
experience, I am willing to let you attend the range with me for further
instruction AT NO EXTRA COST TO YOU until you GET IT RIGHT!!!!! [where else
are you going to find that kind of guarantee!!!]) If you have a criminal
record, you may not qualify. You may phone the Bureau of Criminal
Identification at 801.965.4445 to arrange for a printout of your criminal
record and for questions about whether your record will disqualify you for a
Utah Permit.

2. WHY IS THIS CLASS WORTH THE EXTRA EXPENSE? Yes,
this class is a little more expensive than most local concealed weapon
classes (unless you take into account the discount for referrals). But even
if you don’t take advantage of the referral discounts, here’s why the class
is worth the extra expense. You will be taught by the attorney whom most
consider to be Utah’s foremost expert on the subject of firearms law. Mitch
has probably handled more firearms cases, both criminal and civil, than any
other attorney in the state. Learn what techniques Mitch’s former clients
might have used to avoid arrest and prosecution. You get the benefit of his
legal education and vast experience helping gun owners fight gun law
prosecutions, in depth knowledge that virtually no other concealed weapons
instructor in the state can claim.

B. Range Fee $3-5 depending upon range
C. State application fee not included. ($59.00 to be paid
directly to State)
D. Gift Certificates Available
E. $15 for pictures and fingerprints (optional)
