2006 Gun Rights Policy Conference (GRPC) Events, Speakers, and Accommodations
The 21st Annual Gun Rights Conference will be held in Charlotte, North Carolina, Friday, September 22 through Sunday, September 24 at the Renaissance Suites Hotel near the airport.
The theme of this year?s conference is ?Victory In Sight.? The conference sponsors are Second Amendment Foundation, and the Citizens Committee for the Right to Keep and Bear Arms, in cooperation with KeepAndBearArms.com.
The conference starts out with registration and a buffet reception and cash bar on Friday evening from 7-10 pm. Registration will resume at 7:30 am on Saturday. The general session will begin at 8:15 am and includes lunch. The day will end with a reception and cash bar from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. Sunday?s session will begin at 9:00 am and end at 1 pm.
The receptions are sponsored by the National Rifle Association, the National Shooting Sports Foundation, and the Heritage Fund.
Some of the confirmed speakers are: Alan Gottlieb, Joe Tartaro, Wayne LaPierre, John Snyder, Chuck Cunningham, John Lott, Rep. Bob Barr, Larry Pratt, Dave Kopel, Richard Patterson, and scores of others.
Topics to be covered include: The State of the Gun Rights Battle, Federal Affairs, State and Local Legislation, Fighting City Hall, The Castle Doctrine, International Gun Control and the U.N., Personal Protection on Public Lands, Status of Right to Carry, 2006 Elections, Illegal Immigration, Crime and Terrorism, and Guns in the Workplace.
There is no cost to attend the conference. Coffee, snacks, lunch and receptions, along with over $150 in books and materials, are FREE.
Hotel rooms are still available for $99.00 per night. All rooms are one bedroom suites, having either a king-size bed or two double beds, with a living room with a double-sized pull-out bed, sink, microwave and small refrigerator. To reserve a suite, please call 1-800-468-3571 and mention GRPC.
