N.S. knife robber goes to jail

A Cape Breton teenager who held a knife to a girl’s neck during a
robbery has been sent to a detention centre for a year after pleading
guilty to various charges.

The 16-year-old Sydney youth, a father of one child, pleaded guilty to
two counts of robbery and two counts of taking a motor vehicle without
consent.

He also admitted to assault with a weapon – a knife – and uttering a
threat.

The assault involved holding a knife to a 12-year-old girl’s neck during
a robbery. The girl happened to be in the store at the time of the
crime.

The youth must submit a DNA sample to the national registry and is
prohibited from possessing firearms for 10 years.

A crack cocaine addiction was blamed as the driving force behind his
crimes as he attempted to secure cash or other items to buy more drugs.

The Second Amendment IS Homeland Security !
