Gun-toting ‘lefty’ mom helps to dispel myths

For too long, the myth that only men own and use firearms has been
allowed to persist. As gun prohibitionists attempt to blur the lines
between legitimate firearm use, firearm crime, and violence in society,
women who participate in shooting and hunting have been marginalised by
efforts to construct firearms ownership as a threat to women.

The truth, however, is far removed from the fiction promoted by anti-gun
lobbyists. Sharon Gregson is one among millions of women worldwide who
shoot, and to pretend otherwise would be an injustice.
