ALERT: SHOULD A JEW CARRY FIREARMS ON SHABBAT?

In these dangerous days, when anti-Semitism is on the rise,
Jews need to consider carefully whether it is right to carry
firearms on Shabbat in defense of ourselves, our families,
and our communities.

Some argue that going armed on Shabbat is forbidden. Not so!
On the main page of the JPFO Web site ( http://www.jpfo.org/ )
you’ll find a link to a column, “Carrying Firearms on Shabbat?
A Serious Question!” In this well-researched article from
Sephardic News Rabbi David Samson explains why going armed,
far from being forbidden, is a mitzvah (an obligation).
