Just finished Jon Butler’s excellent “Becoming America, The Revolution
Before 1776″.
(ISBN 0-674-00091-9 973.2 Harvard University Press)

Butler, rather than requoting period historians and rehashing yet
another history book, he chapters his study into peoples, economy,
politics, material, spiritual in an reasonable manner.

For those of we who enjoy the roots and foundations of our Country, this
book is a great read.
I’ll be adding it to my collection.
