Anti-gun Nuts Lie to Exploit German Massacre

The anti-gun-rights activists are eager to exploit the school shootings
Friday in Erfurt, Germany – and don’t care how many lies they tell.

Coalition to Stop Gun Violence has denounced this latest “chilling
demonstration of the carnage caused by the flood of illegal weapons,” United
Press International reported today.

“While we do not yet know how the gunman obtained his weapon,” the group’s
Executive Director Joshua Horwitz said Friday, “the gun lobby likely will
use today’s shooting to say that gun laws do not work – that Germany’s
strict gun laws failed to prevent this massacre. But the real issue here is
the illegal gun market, fueled by the smuggling of weapons from countries
with weak gun laws – such as Eastern European and Balkan nations as reported
in press accounts today – into countries with tough laws like Germany.”

How curious that Horwitz was so impatient to use the massacre to advance his
own anti-self-defense agenda, without checking the facts.

As Reuters and other left-leaning news organizations reported two days ago,
the Erfurt killer had licenses for his weapons.
