Attention Indiana – One More Time!
The ‘twin’ bill to SB 45 is in the House committee right now. House Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Rural Development Committee is looking at HB 1064. As I said it is the ‘twin’ to SB 45, which stops frivolous lawsuits against the gun industry in Indiana. The bill allows for suing a manufacturer if there is a defect or a breach of contract, but stops the suits that sue for no legal reason. Suits cannot be brought for the reasons of greed or in an attempt to legislate through litigation. The bill can be seen at www.state.in.us/serv/lsa_billinfo?year=2000&request=getBill&docno=1064
If that address doesn’t work try www.state.in.us/ then go to House and eventually you will get to Bills.
