I am a “recovering Democrat” as I was active in the Davis County and Utah Democratic Party – even running for office (leg. 19) – until a very few years ago.

Two of the reasons I am now a Republican are that:

1. I do not believe in abortion for any reason; and

2. I believe that a woman’s choice should be to carry or not carry a gun.

Leg. 19 Democrats did not want me to voice my beliefs and was ridiculed in public by the leg. chair when running for office.

No article from another state can tell me that the Utah or Davis County Democratic Party is pro-gun as I know better from personal experience.
