CHILLIWACK – Thousands of Canadians have chosen not to comply with the
federal Firearms Act, but few have done so as conspicuously as Bruce
Montague.
He and his wife Donna were charged last September for violating the
licensing and registration provisions of the Firearms Act. Montague, a
hunter and gunsmith from northern Ontario, gained media attention when
he took part in a protest on Parliament Hill two years ago by burning
his firearms licence. Montague will appear at the Chilliwack Fish and
Game Club on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.
