Gun Control

(updated September 1, 2001)

People kill people, guns do not kill people, and
gun control is a precursor to genocide!
The Constitution for the united States of America is the supreme Law of the Land. The Bill of Rights is an original part of the Constitution for the united States of America.

The Bill of Rights guaranteed the right of all people to bear arms, not for hunting and not for protection against crime, but specifically to protect the people from their government ever attempting to remove their rights, or remove their guns.

The book “More Guns, Less Crime” by John R. Lott, Jr. (professor of criminal deterrence and law and economics at the University of Chicago Law School) presents an excellent argument against gun control;

Using FBI statistics accumulated on a county level, Lott shows that in states that have strict gun control laws, there are higher crime rates, and in states with liberal gun carry laws, there are much lower crime rates, the more liberal the gun carry laws, the lower the crime rates. Thus, in states where the people have more guns, there is less crime, and this is because criminals in those states know that there is a very good chance that the next crime they attempt to commit, will be met in defense with a firearm to help prevent that crime.

Further arguments against gun control;

Title 10 United States Code, Sections 311-312, and Title 32 United States Code, Section 313, state that all able-bodied males between the age of 17 and 45 are, by law, members of the unorganized militia, and provide for the exceptions and exclusions to that rule. If a person is, by law, a member of the unorganized militia, how can they perform their lawful duties if they are forbidden by statute law to posses a firearm?

Armed Resistance to Crime: The Prevalence and Nature of Self-Defense with a Gun – “Reprinted by special permission of Northwestern University School of Law, Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology, vol. 86, issue 1, 1995.” “However consistent the evidence may be concerning the effectiveness of armed victim resistance, there are some who minimize its significance by insisting that it is rare.[15] This assertion is invariably based entirely on a single source of information, the National Crime Victimization Survey (NCVS).”

In the 20th century, governments throughout the world perpetrated the genocide of more than 95,000,000 of their own citizens after having passed laws to disarm them.

THE RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS – R E P O R T OF THE SUBCOMMITTEE ON THE CONSTITUTION OF THE COMMITTEE ON THE JUDICIARY, UNITED STATES SENATE, NINETY-SEVENTH CONGRESS, SECOND SESSION, FEBRUARY 1982, U.S. GOVERNMENT PRINTING OFFICE, 88-618 O WASHINGTON : 1982.
