Heat-packing lawmaker pushes anti-gun bill

Sen. Don Perata, the California lawmaker touting handgun
licensing and registration, himself has a hard-to-get permit
to carry a concealed pistol. He apparently appreciates the
defensive power of the pistol, if only for himself.
