Crooks don’t register guns Re: Ewatski supports national gun registry
(Jan. 30).

Winnipeg police Chief Jack Ewatski should realize that the gun registry
is a registry only of law-abiding citizens. These citizens are not
criminals and no matter how often or how long Ewatski eyes the list, he
will fail to find the criminals who are terrorizing Canada. He still
refuses to grasp the fact that criminals do not license themselves, nor
do they register their firearms and they never will. His list is
useless.

Chief Ewatski, the gun registry doesn’t reduce crime or improve public
safety.
