Federal gun registry ‘unjustifiable’ expense

——————————————————————————–

This letter addresses a concern that I have regarding the federal gun registry and the questionable tolerance of the Canadian people.

The federal gun registry has become an increasingly antagonizing issue over the past couple of years, which seems to plague current politics as an ongoing issue of the most sincere severity.

The government Opposition continues to berate the federal government on the rising cost of the registry, and yet a majority of citizens, whose money is being used to support this registry, are sitting idly at home — unaware, or ignorant, of the fact that the government is spending billions of taxpayers’ dollars on a registry that does very little to curb illegal gun trade, or lower deaths relating to gun violence, as it focuses primarily on law-abiding citizens.

People need to be cognizant of the fact that our government is not respecting the rights of Canadians to own and use firearms responsibly and is thus wasting our money on an unjustifiable cause.
