Get the criminals

Regarding your flippant response to David Thomson’s letter (“More guns,
less violence?” Dec. 22): Wake up and smell the coffee, please. You may
think getting “guns off the street” will reduce violent crime but you
are wrong. Getting violent criminals off the street is what is required.
At any rate, the guns of lawful citizens aren’t “on the street.”
