Gun critics don’t know what they’re saying

It’s amazing how people with no knowledge or experience of actually
using guns feel themselves perfectly qualified to render opinions on the
subject.
Attacking semi-automatic rifles as a way of trying to prevent future
mass shootings is like trying to ban cars with more than 200 horsepower
as a way of preventing drunk driving death.
Yes, a drunk driving a BMW M5 could do more damage than one driving a
Honda Civic, but that’s only a matter of degree – we still have a drunk
to worry about.
Lever or pump action rifles or shotguns are just as capable of causing
mass injury as anything semi-automatic, and only those with no knowledge
of guns, or a personal agenda, would try to claim otherwise. We need to
focus on the person, since the selection of possible tools of mass
murder is endless, both legal and smuggled.
