“Dear Sir or Madam: I am writing in reference to H. R. 382 from the 107th
Congress and H.R. 218, Community Protection Act of 1999, from the 106th
Congress. I am a full-time sworn police officer from Craig, Colorado and
firmly believe the Federal Government has a responsibility to act on either
or both of these proposals. Furthermore, I feel it is incumbent upon you to
extend this legislation to cover all citizens – not just law enforcement.”
