GUN LAW DOING WONDERS
Whoooopeeeeee. Gun registration. The “Great Liberal Legacy.” Sure working fine, isn’t it? All you have to do is pick up the papers or turn on the news. This past weekend was like the Gunfight at the OK Corral in our fair city. Gun battles in Edmonton at weddings. Gun battles in downtown Toronto and Vancouver between rival Asian gangs. Yep, good thing the Liberals are on the ball. Over $1 billion and counting … and it has yet to stop one person from using a firearm who has wanted to. Glad to know we have such “competent” government at work for us.

FEEL SAFE, WINNIPEG
In Blast kills partier (Aug. 2), reporter Chris Kitching writes, “With the latest homicide, Winnipeg has tied the total for the entire year of 2000, is one behind the total for 2001 (18) and is two behind 2003 (19).” Relax, Winnipeggers. Now that the gun registry is firmly in place and running smoothly, each and every one of the people involved will have been caught and sentenced by now, since I’m positive every gun involved was registered and the police were able to trace the killer with the utmost ease.
