the anti self defense folks are always saying that we ignore the
fact that people shot in SD are known to their victim. (which is another anti SD lie!)……… Here’s one such story…………..
what the anti SD folks fail to tell you is that just because a person knows his/her attacker doesn’t make the attack right or
lessen the need for SD.

Coquille police say slaying looks like self-defense

COQUILLE — A 65-year-old Coquille woman shot and killed her 78-year-
old
husband Tuesday, police say, apparently in self-defense.
Janice McNair called 9-1-1 from her home about three miles south of
Coquille on Tuesday afternoon and said she had shot her husband,
Theodore McNair. He died at the scene, according to the Coos County
sheriff’s office
Janice McNair was taken to Bay Area Hospital in Coos Bay and treated
for
injuries.

Coos County District Attorney Paul Burgett said it appeared Theodore
McNair was assaulting his wife when she shot him. The couple had been
married for decades, Burgett said. But, he added, “There is some
indication of on-going problems.”

Officers with the Coos County Major Crimes Team are continuing to
investigate.
