I?m new to this board and to this debate in general. I have used and enjoyed firearms all my life and am disheartened by what I?ve seen in the media lately.

I can?t sit down and turn on the TV lately with out seeing some talking head espousing the evils of gunownership. This irritates me, as I?m sure it does most of you. Especially when I hear people that don?t even know enough about the guns they speak about, to get even the basic terminology right. But then again, I guess they aren?t interested in facts.

The point I want to make is this, I believe that gun owners across this country vastly outnumber these people who are pushing the anti-gun agenda. People like AL Gore and Hilary Clinton have surrounded themselves by people who believe the way they do. The’re truly living in their own world.

For myself though, no more procrastinating, I have identified my representatives both state and federal, contacted them and believe me we are going to get real familiar with each others views on these issues. I just hope what I believe to be a vast silent majority in our country take notice of what?s going on decides to vote in the coming elections.

I am deriving a lot of support from posts I read on this board. I want to thank everyone for that, and the wagc for hosting this forum.
