response from a MO state SEnator RE: MO “Assault” weapon Ban
MO state senator Kenney has one statement in his response that’s NOT PRO gun…. Anyone guess what it is?
============
I appreciate your e-mail expressing opposition to the proposed legislation
to ban the sale or possession of an assault weapon.
At first glance, a bill banning this type of weapon could seem feasible.
However, I believe the gun activists would not stop with just assault rifles
but would continue their quest until all guns, recreational and otherwise,
were classified as assault weapons.
Although I agree that the general public does not need to carry assault
weapons, I cannot support Senator Wiggins’ legislation for the reason I have
listed above.
Your input is important to me and I thank you for taking the time to write.
Sincerely,
Senator Bill Kenney
