HEADLINE: TWO HIJACK SUSPECTS SHOT DEAD BY HOMEOWNER

BODY:

Two men were shot dead during an attempted hijacking in Hyde Park on Thursday, Johannesburg police said. Superintendent Chris Wilken said four men jumped over a wall of a Hyde Park home at 7.30am when the houseowner, 42, was in his car with his three daughters, aged 13, 12 and 10, ready to take them to school. Two of the armed hijackers demanded the house keys and ordered the man out of his car. He handed over the keys and then produced his own firearm shooting one suspect in the head and killing him. Two of the four hijackers ran away, but the fourth man remained and threatened to shoot the children. Their father then shot fired two shots, killing him instantly, said Wilkens. Police confiscated a 9mm Norinco pistol and ten rounds of ammunition. Neither the 42-year-old man nor his children were hurt in the incident Sapa 07/18/02 15-27 C=100

I guess this goes back to the old ‘rather be tried by 12 than carried by 6′ ……….
