hunting and fishing magazine, will be featuring an article in their March
2000 issue, over the Civil Liberties Defense Foundation lawsuit against
the Cities and Mayors that are suing the gun manufacturers. Here is a
sneak preview of that article:

“The plaintiff’s suit alleges that the cities have
conspired to violate their individual right and
their constituent’s right to keep and bear arms
by using the courts to impose gun control and
threaten the gun industry with bankruptcy. Several
Texas gun stores are also plaintiffs in the suit,
alleging that the cities are interfering with
interstate commerce–a protected right under the
Commerce Clause of the U.S. Constitution. “I think
they [entities suing the gun industry] have made it
very clear,” Rep. Hupp told TF&G, “that it is a
conspiracy to thwart legislation, to thwart the
individual’s right to keep and bear arms, and
go right for the throat of people who are legally
doing business, and their whole aim is to put them
out of business.”
