(CNSNews.com) — The Illinois State Rifle Association says the school shooting in Red Lake, Minn., is no reason to attack law-abiding citizens’ right to own firearms.

ISRA said it is particularly offended by an editorial in the Chicago Tribune that urged elected officials to respond to the shooting with stiffer gun control legislation.

“The Tribune even goes as far as race baiting,” ISRA said – “accusing the public of indifference to Red Lake because the victims are Native Americans rather than White suburbanites.”
