Two killed in Yardie violence

Two men have been killed in a shoot-out and a knife attack which police
believe involved up to eight Yardie gangsters.

One man was found dead from gunshot wounds in a Streatham flat and the
second died from a stab wound after being dumped from a car in the grounds
of Mayday hospital, Croydon, five miles away.

Both victims were black. The first man died from gunshot wounds which he
suffered in the shoot-out at a flat in Barrow Road.

Witnesses said they also saw a woman covered in blood running along Barrow
Road following the shooting.

The incident is being investigated by officers from Operation Trident, the
Scotland Yard unit which specialises in dealing with black gangster crime.
The shooting happened at 6pm yesterday.
