Kenneth V. F. Blanchard is hard man to label. He is an experienced man of the world that has spent most of his life protecting other people from harm. He is a former federal law enforcement officer. He is a firearms instructor, Baptist minister and a sought after security consultant, trainer and orator.
He is the author and independent publisher of Black Man With A Gun, A Responsible Gun Ownership Manual For African Americans. It is a 148-page book is about gun control, the right to keep and bear arms, that provides an easy to follow guide for newcomers and old hands a like to the gun issue from an African American point of view.
His speaking skills have motivated political groups and organizations. He has successfully lobbied for the right to carry concealed in Michigan, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia. He challenges not only the beliefs of non-shooters but seeks to change the stereotype of the pro-gun community as a whole. His monthly online newsletter, “On Target With Kenn Blanchard” is read all over the world.
He is the founder and executive director of the Tenth Cavalry Gun Club; a club dedicated to promoting the safe advocacy of firearms ownership in untraditional America. He has chapters of the Tenth Cavalry in NJ, the Washington DC /Baltimore metro area and Atlanta.
He is a board member of the Law Enforcement Alliance of America, an organization representing a combination of 60,000 law enforcement officers and citizens concerned in improving the safety and quality of life within the United Sates of America.
He comes from family of athletes. His cousin, Thomas Smith is a former football player for the Buffalo Bills and Chicago Bears. And his cousin Sam Perkins is a veteran basketball player now the Indiana Pacers.
