Why HE now supports Pro gun self defense
FWD: With Wayne’s Permission:
>Allow my to introduce myself…my name is Wayne Mitchell. I live in the
>Dallas/Ft.Worth area in Texas.
>As you are aware, our area has been in the news due to a gunman attacking
a
>Ft. Worth church. It is a tragedy what happened here…if only some of the
>adults in the congregation had been carrying a firearm for protection…
>
>Although it doesn’t deal directly with guns, here is the story of how I
have
>come to agree with you on the issue of the 2nd Amendment right to carry a
>firearm.
>
> In February of 1999, a man tried to pick a fight with me at a gas station.
>The man was a foreigner from India or Pakistan with a bad accent, bad
>breathe, and a big chip on his shoulder. It is now a matter of court record
>that he was picking the fight without cause. I attempted to walk off
>twice, but he followed me and struck me in the chest twice, pushing me
>backwards. My wife, who was more than 6 months pregnant, saw what was
>transpiring, and exited our car and ran to me and the other guy. I told
>her to go back to the car, but she persisted in trying to find out what was
>going on, and trying to get things calmed down. The Indian had been
cursing
>me and making threatening gestures, and started doing the same to my wife.
>When he took a step towards her, I swung my forearm and struck him in the
>face, crushing his nose.
>
>Needless to say, there was alot of blood.
>
>To make a long story short, the policeman decided that the other man was
the
>victim since he lost the fight.
>
> The case went to court, and my lawyer didn’t really didn’t even have
to
>say that much. We just used the gas station video, which was suppose to be
>evidence for the prosecution, to show how the testimony of the police and
>the Indian were outright lies.
>
>At the end of the case, which only lasted an hour or two, the final
dialogue
>of the case went as follows.
>
>My lawyer: “The defense rests, Your Honor”.
>Prosecution: ” The State also rests, Your Honor.”
>The Judge: “So both sides are finished? Not guilty. Next case…”
>
> The Prosecutor looked like she had been slapped, and blushed with
>embarrassment at the Judge’s instant decision, which was in effect an
>acknowledgement that this case was no case at all, and never should have
>been brought to court by the prosecutor.
>
> As a result of this incident, a have become very pissed off at police,
>seeing the lies that they engage in to try to justify their arrests. I
have
>also become very political, and although I have never ( before now ) been a
>gun owner, I now fully support our 2nd Amendment right of gun-ownership.
>The police end up protecting the criminals, while innocent people are
>harmed…the buisness end of a Smith-and-Wesson can solve this problem
>efficiently.
>
>Bryan Daniel Mitchell was born on May 22nd of 1999, a healthy young boy
with
>2 parents that love him very much. This is the most important point of the
>whole story.
>
>
>Peace be with you ,
