Associated Press reports that a witness in the Michael Skakel murder trial testified that Ted Kennedy’s nephew “tearfully admitted his involvement in a 1975 murder during a late-night conversation at an alcohol treatment center.” The witness, John Higgins, was a student at the Elan School at the same time as Michael Skakel. Skakel, 39, is charged as a juvenile in the October 1975 slaying of Greenwich teen-ager Martha Moxley, who was beaten to death with a golf club.
